Global Astronomy Month is the world’s largest annual celebration of astronomy. Whether local events or online, watching or sharing, science or art, there’s something for everyone.
The Astronomers Without Borders global community is at the heart of everything we do. Bringing the community together through astronomy fosters friendship, understanding, and good will. Programs and activities are made possible by the participation of AWB members.
A volunteer in Maracaibo, Venezuela wrote a message to you--the AWB community--on International Volunteers Day.
“It’s an honor being a volunteer for you. It makes me feel that I’m part of a major international effort to explore the cosmos. It makes me feel proud when I see kids and people, 8 to 80 years old, joining and enjoying the international AWB activities and projects.” -Patrick Morton
Our community and connection wouldn't be possible without volunteers like Patrick and the grassroots support of people like you.
Could you make a small donation of $5 to support us today? If all of our supporters contributed just $5 to our Share the Sky campaign, we could fund new, innovative programs in 2017.
Your gift will help us reach more passionate astronomers, of all ages, around the world.
