NEW: Eclipse Glasses Redistribution Program
Astronomers Without Borders will be announcing a program to collect eclipse glasses for distribution to other countries for future eclipses. Hold on to your glasses! Ask the company or organization you got them from if they will be taking part. We will announce details soon after the eclipse. We have corporate partners who will be receiving and processing them for us. Please DO NOT send them to AWB! Sign up for our newsletter for more details or follow us on Facebook.

Along with Bob Eklund's Astropoetry Blog, two other major astropoetic initiatives accompanied GAM 2010:

1. The regular American magazine Astropoetica (edited since 2003 by Emily Gaskin) celebrated GAM in its "academic" style, through the Spring 2010 issue, composed of 20 astropoems, each of them adorned by a superb image.

2 .Organizing the GAM global program of literary-artistic creativity, entitled Astropoetry to the Global Astronomy Month 2010, the Romanian Society for Meteors and Astronomy (SARM) and Friends created a mega-project as a long and complex story in words and images, which tried to reflect all the GAM programs.

Thus, finally, we can say:

GAM 2010 brought together
Astropoetry Blog,
and Cosmopoetry - SARM and Friends...

For the glory
of astronomical poetry
three enthusiastic knights
collected cosmic lights...
