Global Astronomy Month is the world’s largest annual celebration of astronomy. Whether local events or online, watching or sharing, science or art, there’s something for everyone.
The Astronomers Without Borders global community is at the heart of everything we do. Bringing the community together through astronomy fosters friendship, understanding, and good will. Programs and activities are made possible by the participation of AWB members.
We regret to announce that our YouTube Live Event Today with Nicole Stott will be postponed until further notice. Please stay tuned for a rescheduled date. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Prelude to an Eclipse - Big Campaign
We are happy to announce that we have successfully raised funds to give to Trinity Christian School in Rutherfordton, USA thanks to our great supporter Karen Jay!
As Trinity lies right on the path of the total solar eclipse (coming August 21, 2017), the school partnered up with STAR (Science Technology Advanced Resource, Inc.) to bring astronomy education into their classrooms by using Webinar technology. While the lessons provided by STAR taught the children about telescopes up until the beginning of September, there were no telescopes to practice on. Here's where AWB came in and ran a BIG campaign to provide two OneSky telescopes. In addition, to prime the students on what they will be seeing, funding also provided 25 spectroscopes and material for two solar filters for their OneSky's.
We are so proud to be able to help this small school. Good Luck Trinity!
